Responsibilities & Purpose

The Park and Open Space Board assists the Board of Supervisors in planning for the acquisition of future parks, trails, and open spaces in Whitpain and the evaluation of what uses are the most appropriate for Township parks and open spaces. The Board, formerly known as the Parks and Recreation Board, also educates residents about the active and passive recreation opportunities in the Township.
