Responsibilities & Purpose:

Established in 2022, The Environmental Advisory Council assists and advises the Board of Supervisors and the Township Manager on various environmental topics. The EAC collaborates with other Whitpain Township committees as well as local organizations to promote a variety of community environmental programs and provide education that encourages sustainable practices in our community.

The EAC consists of five volunteer members, appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

Sue Royer, Chair

"I appreciate the opportunity to work with members of the Whitpain community to foster a more environmentally sustainable way of life"

Ruth Chang, Vice Chair

"Think Globally, Act Locally. Being a part of Whitpain's EAC has me excited to help bring awareness to the many environmental issues faced in our local area.”

Zbigniew Bieniaszewski

“Happy to contribute to Whitpain’s journey of sustainability by sharing my experiences and passion with environmental issues.  We can all make a difference in our daily lives to help the environment. The environment is where we all meet; where we all have mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share.”

Erin Crump

"I'm excited about Whitpain Township's commitment to sustainability.  I'm looking forward to making connections within our community so that we can learn and grow together, finding common ground where we can all continue to improve our natural environment."

Paul Driscoll

"I believe strongly that we need to preserve our natural environment to the greatest extent possible. At the local level, that means leading by example to conserve our land, water, flora and fauna. Let's act now to save what we have for ourselves and for those who come after us."
