[ARCHIVED] Please Use Reusable Plastic Bag Alternatives

Reuse

Please Use Reusable Plastic Bag Alternatives

Township retail establishments no longer provide single-use plastic bags or polystyrene containers to customers.

Looking toward a more sustainable future, the Board of Supervisors last year passed an ordinance to regulate and minimize single-use plastic bags, utensils, and expanded polystyrene (aka Styrofoam).

Retail establishments may provide customers with recyclable paper bags for a charge of not less than $0.15 per bag. Additionally, plastic utensils will only be available upon request from a customer.

Residents can stop by the Township Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday to get free reusable bags. Supplies are limited and are first come, first served.
