Section Of N. Wales Road Closing Next Week For Emergency Railroad Work
Representatives from CSX Rail yesterday informed the Township of the need to close a portion of North Wales Road, from Township Line Road South (East Norriton border) to Skippack Pike, beginning Monday morning, November 13, through Friday, November 17 for emergency repairs.
The work includes the excavation, removal, and replacement of tracks that cross North Wales Road between Yost Road and Skippack Pike. This work will result in a full closure of the roadway, around the clock, at the rail crossing during the above noted period. CSX will post detour signs in the area.
Local traffic can access North Wales Road up to the closure.
Given the emergency nature of the repairs, the scheduling was beyond the Township's control.
