The Police Department, under the leadership of Chief Kenneth Lawson, is committed to providing protection and services within the Township on a 24-hour-a-day basis with a strong emphasis on community awareness. The quality of police service is often judged by the response of the police. It is more dependent on the police working with the community in a method that provides effective and efficient policing.“To Protect and Serve” is the Police Department’s goal, not just the Police Department’s motto.

The Officers of the Whitpain Township Police Department will partner with the community to foster public trust, security, peace and order, to maintain the quality of life valued by those who reside in, work in and visit Whitpain Township.

Lock for Life
Lock for Life is a program available through the Whitpain Township Police Department. It is intended to provide Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services Personnel access to your residence in the event of an emergency where you are unable to open the door.
